Protest Groups and Police Violently Square Off in San Diego

Pro-Trump and anti-Trump protesters faced off in San Diego, California, on January 9, with the San Diego Police Department (SDPD) declaring an unlawful assembly while clashing with demonstrators.

Footage taken by the Activated Podcast shows a large crowd of police, with protesters retreating and screaming while shots ring out. “SDPD shooting rubber bullets at protestors,” wrote the Activated Podcast on a post.

The SDPD had declared an unlawful assembly on the afternoon of January 9, citing acts of violence and reporting pepper spray had been used against officers.
