Protester rushes onto floor in Game 4 of Memphis Grizzlies-Minnesota Timberwolves series

For the second time in four games, a protester interrupted an nBA playoff game between the Memphis Grizzlies and Minnesota Timberwolves.

A protester was tackled onto the floor by security after rushing the sidelines from the second row shortly after the start of the third quarter of Game 4 on Saturday at Target Center. The protester, along with a person who was sitting alongside them, were hauled off the court.

Direct Action Everywhere, a grassroots animal rights network, again claimed responsibility for Saturday's protest. A member of the group also interrupted Game 1 in Memphis by chaining herself to a basket stanchion.

The group is protesting after an investigation into a "recent mass killing of 5.3 million chickens" following an outbreak of “highly pathogenic avian influenza," according to a release. It occurred at Rembrandt Enterprises, an Iowa factory egg farm owned by Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor, according to the protest group.

This time, the protester was supposed to reveal an NBA referee shirt as she made her way courtside to to issue a “technical foul and ejection,” along with a “fine”, to the Timberwolves owner, according to a release. Security tackled the protester before any of that occurred.

Taylor's majority ownership of the Minnesota Timberwolves will be sold to a group led by Alex Rodriguez and businessman Marc Lore next year.
