Protesters Chant 'Trans Women Are Men' at Tacoma Rally

Protesters were heard chanting “Trans women are men” at an event in Tacoma, Washington, on Wednesday, October 26, which was attended by British activist and columnist Kellie-Jay Keen.

Footage from the event shows Keen addressing a crowd over the noise of counter-protesters. Keen’s supporters can be heard chanting “Trans women are men” as counter-protesters wave the Transgender flag.

Keen is the head of the Standing for Women organisation, which says it supports free speech and women’s sex-based rights.

Local media reported that the rally was initially attended by around 30 Keen supporters and around 20 counter-protesters. The number of counter-protesters grew to 200 and Keen and her supporters eventually left the plaza, the report added.
