Protesters in Colombia vow not to let up

According to local reports, a group of people were reportedly seen starting a fire at the buses and authorities are investigating possible links to the country's protest movement.

Protests, first called in opposition to a now-cancelled tax plan, have expanded to include demands like a basic income, an end to police violence and opportunities for young people.

The demonstrations have been marked by violence by police and civilians, heightening tensions from protesters calling for President Ivan Duque and his defence minister to resign.
