Protesters in NY rally against India farm laws

Dozens of demonstrators from around the U.S. rallied in New York on Tuesday, India's Republic Day, to protest new laws that they say will hurt farmers. (Jan. 26)

BAKHSHISH SANDHU: We are here today to challenge India, who has carried out the genocide of Sikhs and enacted a farm bills to carry out the genocide of the Sikhs and farmers of Punjab and Haryana. So we are here to challenge India. Under their Constitution, it has attacked the Sikh and Sikh religious institutions.

PARMINDER SINGH: Yes, I came here all the way from Chicago, because my family's back there in Punjab that's getting hurt by the law that's made by Indian government right now against the farmers.
