Protesters Throw Objects at Vehicle Flying US Flag as Rival Groups Clash in Salem
Protesters threw objects including a hammer at a truck flying an American flag as it drove past the Oregon State Capitol on March 28, amid clashes between rival groups of demonstrators.
This footage, by Sergio Olmos, shows a flag being pulled off the vehicle, and objects being thrown at it.
The Oregonian reported that demonstrators initially gathered in Sandy, Oregon, for a “Freedom Rally” with plans to travel to the State Capitol.
The plans attracted more than 150 left-wing counter-protesters who descended on the State Capitol, the paper said.
