Protests grow across Iran despite threats from President

Growing protests are raging across Iran despite an unforgiving crackdown and threats following the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini. Iran’s president issued a warning saying authorities must “deal decisively with those who oppose the country’s security and tranquility.” According to state media, 41 Iranians have been killed since the protests began. But women, who are at the heart of this protest, continue defying the authorities, burning headscarves, cutting their hair, and walking in the capital's streets without a hijab in defiance.
