Proud to Serve: St. Charles paramedic Danielle Brock receives $500 and our Proud to Serve Award

ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. – Danielle ‘Dee’ Brock was following in the footsteps of her first responder family members when she became a paramedic with the St. Charles County Ambulance District (SCCAD).

She continues to advance her skills as a paramedic to participate and train in the field. Dee is one of the team members for the S.T.A.R.S. program, a program that enrolls special needs children into a database for first responders to know their unique needs. She is also a member of the M.I.H. program, which allows paramedics and doctors to support individuals at their homes to help decrease reentry into the ERs. Dee has also been recognized internally at SCCAD with the Patient Advocacy Award of Excellence!

Dee was nominated by a family member who told us:

Danielle ‘Dee’ is my older sister. She has always been a hero to me. She works for the St. Charles County Ambulance District as a paramedic. Dee has seen awful things, but it has never changed who she is as a person. Aside from her normal paramedic position, she is also a part of the STARS (special needs tracking and response) program, which helps kids with complex medical and special needs. She has a role in Mobile Integrated Health (MIH), which helps those with chronic health issues stay out of the hospital, therefore avoiding numerous admissions. She is a lover of all things with four legs. She ALWAYS stops to help a turtle cross the road (when it’s safe to do so) and helps doggies find their forever homes, even driving hours and hours to do so. Last but not least, Dee is the most incredible aunt to my daughter, Lucy. I’m so proud of her and I will be forever grateful that she is my sister. She does so much for others, and I want her to see that it is noticed, and we are forever grateful.
