Providence arrest 23-year-old Providence man in Graduate hotel stabbing

PROVIDENCE — Detectives arrested a 23-year-old Providence man early Monday evening and charged him in the stabbing of two people at the Graduate hotel, according to Providence police.

Damani Green, of Phebe Street, is charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, said Providence police Detective Maj. David Lapatin.

Previously, police said that officers went to the hotel at 12:45 a.m. Sunday and found two people with stab wounds to their midsections in Room 842, where a fight had broken out during a small birthday party.

The young men who were stabbed identified Green during a presentation of photographs, Lapatin said.
