"Our opponent today was significantly stronger than we were. It is always part of the preparation as a coach to decide how much pressure to put on the other team, how can you adapt. It's not all that easy. Our opponent was very flexible. We started well in the first half, but then they marked the first goal in a standard situation and then the second from out of nowhere. And then of course, it becomes difficult. I think we didn't give that many chances up in play. It was two mistakes in standard situations."

"We played a good Champions League season and my takeaway will be that the lads played a fearless game against one of the most uncomfortable teams in Europe. When I think of scenes like the one where in the 91st minute Yussi managed a 30 metre sprint to the back when Xavi was making sprints at our goal, then I take away that the team has their hearts in the right place, that they brought their good character to the pitch and sometimes you just have to accept that the opponent is stronger. There is more differentiation at the top of European soccer."

"Our opponent had not only a better quality than us and top quality play, but a top mental quality. They defended incredibly well in the box, which I think Yussi also felt. "The semi-final, it's amazing that we made it this far. Today was the encore and we hoped that there would be another surprise,, but their class won out. I mean, that row of attackers that Paris had, that attitude. We are still a bit of a way off. But new season, new luck. We can be satisfied. With such a new team we delivered an amazing game, an amazing season."

"I am very excited about tomorrow, but as I live here, I would have been very happy if they had made it against Paris. But they are just another league. Paris is strong and more experienced. And Leipzig are still very young and miss their shots here and there and Paris is just in another category. But still, it is great that they got so far. It's a great result for such a young team and we are very, very happy."

STORY: RB Leipzig had no chance against Paris St Germain in their Champions League semi-final on Tuesday (August 18), Leipzig coach Julian Nagelsmann said, as the German side's 3-0 loss sent them out of the competition.
Leipzig, who had eliminated Tottenham Hotspur and Atletico Madrid to reach the last four, hardly got a chance throughout the game with the French champions in complete control.
"They were better than us. Even if we could have made a lot of things better, maybe it would still not have been enough," Nagelsmann said after the game.
"They were flexible. We started well in the first half. But then conceded the first goal and then the second from a mistake of ours."
PSG went ahead in the 13th minute through Marquinhos and got a second in the 42nd when Leipzig keeper Peter Gulacsi sent the ball to Leandro Paredes who helped set up Di Maria for their second.
Leipzig were on the backfoot throughout, showing none of the attacking spirit that had carried them to the semi-finals.
The French club, who celebrate the 50th anniversary of their founding in 1970, will meet the winner of Wednesday's (August 19) other semi between Bayern Munich and Olympique Lyonnais.
"But I am proud today because my players had their heart in the right spot, even if they lost. I accept that the opponent was overwhelming," said Nagelsmann, who at 33 is the youngest coach to reach the last four of the competitions.
"We must continue improving, to keep showing such heart. We will continue and will be in the competition again. Development is a process. You have to overcome obstacles.
"We know that it was a good season for a young team and we will try to do it again next season and work hard. We will work our way back in the Champions League to experience such situations again," Nagelsmann said.
