PSP seizes large amount of drugs in traffic stop

Jun. 15—WOLF CREEK TOWNSHIP — A West Virginia man is behind bars following a traffic stop that turned up a large amount of drugs and paraphernalia.

Robert Paul Holibaugh, 63, of Great Cacapon, was arrested by state police on Monday, June 13, on Interstate 80 eastbound in Wolf Creek Township.

Police were on patrol between mile markers 22 and 24 when they conducted a traffic stop around 3:05 p.m. for a vehicle code violation on a minivan with California registration, police said in court documents.

They identified Holibaugh as the driver and obtained a search warrant.

Police found 2 kilograms of cocaine, 1 kilogram of ketamine, 111 pounds of marijuana and 790 boxes of THC vape cartridges.

Holibaugh was charged with manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver, possession of a controlled substance and use/possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was arraigned Tuesday, June 14, by District Judge Douglas E. Straub, Pine Township, and taken to Mercer County Jail after failing to post $500,000 bond.

His preliminary hearing is set for 9 a.m. June 22 with Straub.
