New pub and restaurant opens in downtown Macon. ‘We have something going on every night’

A new pub offering late-night grub and entertainment options is now open in downtown Macon.

The Brickhouse Pub & Grub at 458 Second St. is the vision of entrepreneur Todd Miles, CEO of The Phoenix Group, which also is bringing additional restaurants and businesses to downtown Macon this year.

“We’re just excited to have it open,” Miles said. “I believe that it’s gonna be a great fun, family atmosphere.”

The pub and restaurant is in the former Macon Beer Co. location.

“At this time, we’ve got five pool tables and a couple of dart boards and we’re waiting on the rest,” Miles said.

There’s another bar downstairs as well. In all, the venue is expected to feature five bars, including one that’s expected to eventually have up to 50 craft beers on tap.

“When you get to the back deck, it’s got a stage and seating for 80-plus people,” Miles said. “It’s partially covered.

“But it’s a place where you’re able to enjoy the outside atmosphere and also the entertainment that we provide.”

The Brickhouse offers live entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights, serves food late on most nights, and also offers a Sunday brunch. The establishment also offers trivia and karaoke.

“We have something going on every night,” Miles said.
