Public is invited as Viking River Cruises returns to St. Paul on Saturday
When Viking River Cruises sails into downtown St. Paul with its custom-built luxury liner on Saturday morning, the public is invited to welcome visitors and wish them a bon voyage.
The city of St. Paul, the Visit St. Paul tourism bureau and the St. Paul Downtown Alliance will celebrate the state-of-the-art cruise boat’s return to the banks of the downtown Mississippi River at 8 a.m. Saturday at Lambert’s Landing.
Visitors are invited to take photos in front of the 386-passenger cruise ship and enjoy live music and food trucks between 8 and 10 a.m.

Lambert’s Landing is at 494 Shepard Road.
After years of preparation, Viking launched its travel experiences between New Orleans and St. Paul a year ago with trips ranging from eight to 15 days.
