ARRESTS 

The following people were arrested on felony charges by law enforcement agencies in Davidson County, and, unless noted otherwise, were either placed in the Davidson County Detention Center or released from custody and are scheduled to appear in Lexington District Court on the date given:

  • Nayi Astaree Banks, 23, homeless of Lexington, was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, written promise, March 1.

  • Tameka Davis-King, 39, of 4727 Wildwood Ave., Charlotte, was charged with possession with the intent to sell or deliver marijuana and a traffic violation (rear lamps), $1,000 secured bond, Feb. 27.

  • Lesley Alexandra McCorkindale, 34, of 1152 Lockland Ave., Winston-Salem, was charged with felony possession of a synthetic cannabinoid, $3,500 unsecured bond, Jan. 31.

  • JoAnna Lynn Henderson, 40, of 310 Tussey St., Lexington, was charged with felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, $15,000 secured bond, March 6.

  • Chontae Amanda Ortiz, 36, of 718 South Road, High Point, was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor possession of marijuana and misdemeanor possession of marijuana paraphernalia, $1,500 secured bond, Feb. 27.

  • Angela Kristin Shaw, 41, of 11021 Randleman Road, Randleman, was charged with felony possession with the intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a Schedule II controlled substance (methamphetamine), felony possession with the intent to sell or deliver marijuana, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor possession of marijuana paraphernalia, $10,000 secured bond, March 28.

  • Casey Thacker, 34, of Davidson County, was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, $1,000 secured bond, Feb. 24.

  • Hay Hi Hach, 55, of 108 Choyce St., Lexington, was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor possession of marijuana up to a half-ounce, misdemeanor open container of alcohol violation, $2,500 unsecured bond, March 6.

  • Macy McCasland, 30, of 15 Memorial Park Drive, Apt. 7, Thomasville, was charged with felony obtaining property under false pretense, $2,500 secured bond, Feb. 24.

  • James Edward Terry, 35, of 539 Potts Creek Road, Linwood, was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, $15,000 secured bond, Feb. 27.

  • James Andrew Hinds, 48, of 315 Idlewild Drive, Lexington, was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor larceny, $5,000 unsecured bond, Feb. 28.

  • Brian McCloud, 43, of 169 N. Barons Road, Clemmons, was charged with possession with felony intent to sell or deliver marijuana, felony maintaining a vehicle/dwelling to sell or deliver a controlled substance, felony possession with the intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a Schedule IV controlled substance (Clonazepam), felony possession with the intent to manufacture, sell or deliver methamphetamine, felony possession with the intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a Schedule III controlled substance (buprenorphine), felony possession with the intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a Schedule I controlled substance (heroin), two counts of possession with the intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a Schedule II controlled substance (methadone), misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor simple possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance (alprazolam), $35,000 secured bond, March 2.

  • John Alvin Mercer, 52, of 925 Trading Ford Way, Linwood, was charged with possession with the intent to manufacture, sell or deliver methamphetamine, $2,500 secured bond, Feb. 28.

  • Tony Allen Temple, 61, homeless of Lexington, was charged with felony breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering, misdemeanor breaking and entering, $10,000 secured bond, March 14.

  • James Quashawn Lewis Garrett, 27, of 1000 Century St., Apt. A, Lexington, was charged with felony obtaining property under false pretense and misdemeanor larceny, $2,000 secured bond, Feb. 24.

  • Jerome Marion Canty, 47, homeless of Lexington, was charged with felony breaking/entering to terrorize or injure, $5,000 unsecured bond, March 2.

  • David Wayne Smith, 51, of 249 Hannersville Road, Lexington, was charged with two counts of felony fraud, $15,000 unsecured bond, March 20.

  • Brandice Nichol Sutton Gough, 39, of 662 Arnold Road, Lexington, was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, felony alter/destroy criminal evidence, felony possession of cocaine, felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance (fentanyl), misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor driving with a revoked license and traffic violation (lighting equipment), $25,000 secured bond, March 10.

  • Donald James Livengood, 33, of 104 Pond St., Lexington, was charged with felony possession of heroin and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, $2,500 secured bond, March 3.

  • Richard Randall Livengood, 39, of 415 Shoaf St., Apt. A, Lexington, was charged with three counts of felony intimidating a witness and four counts of misdemeanor violation of court orders, $60,000 secured bond, March 8.

  • Edward K. Thomas, 61, of 11271 S. N.C. Highway 150, Linwood, was arrested under a felony fugitive warrant from Washington County, Va. For charges of grand larceny, $25,000 secured bond, Feb. 3.

  • Lorenzo Dwayne Freeman, 42, of 1013 Craver Drive, Lexington, was charged with felony assault by strangulation and misdemeanor assault on a female, no bond, March 2.

LARCENIES 

The following larcenies more than $1,000 were reported to the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office and the Lexington Police Department:

  • A 2010 Nissan Sentra valued at $6,000 was reported stolen from a residence on Spruce Street on Jan. 22.

  • On Feb. 2, two residents on Raeford Avenue reported damage to their vehicle by gunfire between 9 p.m. Feb. 1 and 7 a.m. Feb. 2. Four mm casings were collected by law enforcement.

  • On Feb. 3 at 2:57 p.m., a man reported the larceny of 2005 Dodge Ram valued at $5,000 from the parking lot at Plaza Parkway. The victim reported a suspect took the vehicle instead of paying for it during a sales transaction.
