Public Records: Restaurant Inspections

The following are restaurant inspections with critical violations, as conducted by the Zanesville-Muskingum County Health Department between Jan. 17-31.

Jan. 17

Maysville BP, 1311 Maysville Ave., Personal items stored in hand sink. Mold buildup on ice dispenser.

Tee Jayes, 1542 Maple Ave., Chocolate milk, orange juice, cherry and apple pies had internal temperatures of 51 degrees; items discarded.

Mills Bulk Food & Deli, 5790 Dresden-Adamsville Road, Adamsville, Spray bottle with chemicals not properly labeled.

Jan. 18

Sam's Club, 3742 Northpointe Drive, Raw beef stored above spinach leaves. Mold buildup on ice dispenser of soda machine.

Tina's Diner, 4315 Madison St., Roseville, Raw eggs stored above lettuce and meatloaf. Meatloaf not properly date marked.

Bob's Pizza, 4140 Roseville Road, Bacon and sausage pizza toppings not properly date marked.

Jan. 19

Bogey's Tavern, 5845 Frazeysburg Road, Nashport, Dishes in handwashing sink.

Par Mar Store, 4950 East Pike, Mold buildup on soda machine. Cheese, deli meats, taco meat, macaroni salad and chicken fajitas not properly date marked; items discarded. Sliced tomatoes not date marked.

Subway, 4950 East Pike, Handles of utensils touching food.

Jan. 20

Chapman's Coffee House, 68 1/2 W. Main St., New Concord, Marinara/pesto not discarded after 7 days.

Jan. 23

Abbot Home, 1258 Greenwood Ave., Multiple cans with damage around the seals.

Monterrey Mexican Restaurant, 3523 Maple Ave., Hand sink used to store speaker. Pan used for hot holding had significant buildup of burnt food debris. Cooler under flat top had temperature of 43 degrees.

Oaks at Northpointe, 3291 Northpointe Drive, Mold on ice dispenser.

Eagles Club, 1275 E. Market St., Raw eggs and chicken wings stored above ready to eat foods. Sloppy joe held at 119 degrees; food discarded. Prep cooler had internal temperature of 44 degrees. Soups and cooked meats not date marked. Soups older than 7 days were not discarded.

Mother Tucker's Drive Thru, 1132 Sharon Ave., Turkey and ham sandwiches were made at home and brought to store to sell.

GP Mart, 4061 West Pike, Raw potentially hazardous foods stored above ready to eat foods.

Jan. 24

McDonald's, 2605 West Pike, Mold buildup on ice maker.

Giacomo's Bread & More, 2236 Maple Ave., Raw eggs stored above cheese and lettuce.

EagleSticks Inn, 2655 Maysville Pike, Lettuce stored directly on dirty fridge shelf.

C Plus Market, 4106 West Pike, Raw bacon and eggs stored above ready to eat foods. Sandwiches were receiving fresh 7 days when prepared from older deli meats.

Jan. 25

Mizu Sushi & Grill, Maple Ave., Raw chicken stored above raw beef.

Circle K, 60 W. Main St., New Concord, Handwashing sink in restroom not accessible. Ingredient list for Kennedy's Donuts not displaced on self-service unit.

Creno's Pizza, 13 E. Main St., New Concord, Mold buildup on soda machine. Spray bottles with cleaners not marked with common name.

Jan. 26

Terry's Tavern, 700 Linden Ave., Raw ground meat stored above ready to eat meat. TCS foods not properly date marked.

Putnam Tavern, 721 Putnam Ave., Dried potato observed on fry press.

South 60 Market, 2040 S. River Road, Spice loaf held past 7 days. Vegetable soup and potato salad not properly date marked.

Jan. 27

Kick-N-Ax, 970 Linden Ave., Working containers of poisonous or toxic materials not properly labeled.

Buckeye Piez, 5320 Dillon Hills Road, Raw eggs stored above ready to eat foods. Toxic chemicals stored above single use articles.

China Gate, 2502 Maple Ave., Raw pork stored above ready to eat foods in prep cooler. Windex stored over starch in dry stock area.

Maysville Duchess Shoppe, 2830 Maysville Pike, Mold buildup on slushy machine. Deli cooker had temperature of 50 degrees. Motor oil stored over soda.

Jud's Pub Lucky Bar, 225 E. Main St., Raw meat stored above beverages. Mold buildup on soda gun and ice machine.

Jan. 30

Muddy Misers, 112 Muskingum Ave., Mold on ice machine.

Wendy's, 3111 Maple Ave., Prep cooler at 45 degrees.

Little Tijuana, 1347 Ridge Road, Mold on soda gun and ice machine.

El Parian, 145 N. Maysville Ave., Cooked cooled foods in walk-in cooler uncovered. Raw port stored above ready to eat foods. Foods in walk-in cooler not properly date marked.

Jan. 31

Wendy's, 4965 East Pike, Front sandwich station cooler had temperature of 50 degrees.
