WORCESTER — Ever since the private showing of “We The North” on Feb. 27, director Angelo Padin has been constantly asked when his documentary about the North High boys’ basketball team would be available for public viewing.

That question has now been answered.

“We The North,” which follows the Polar Bears during their run up to and through the CMADA Class A championship they won last month, will be screened at 1 p.m. Saturday at Clark University’s geography building, which is located at 950 Main St.

“This team has already made history, but they're not done yet!” Padin, a Worcester native and 2007 North graduate, wrote in an email. “Let's come together to support them as they chase their dreams and aim to make their mark on the 508. Don’t miss out on this inspiring event.

The roughly 100-minute documentary chronicles the Polar Bears’ success on the court and adversity off it this winter. A sequel is in the works as they attempt to become the first Division 1 public school from Worcester to win a state title.

The Polar Bears will take a 20-2 record into their state quarterfinal matchup with Brockton on Friday night and a win would send them to the semifinals for the first time since 2005.
