Publix headlining new shopping center in Navarre area

A new Publix anchored shopping center is planned for Navarre, providing residents with an all-in-one solution for their grocery and retail shopping needs.

The latest development is being constructed on the corner of Bergren Road and U.S. Highway 98.

What do we know about the new Navarre shopping center?

The plaza will be anchored by Publix and an accompanying liquor store, whose combined footprint will be nearly 60,000 square feet, according to permits filed with Santa Rosa County.

Additionally, there is approximately 8,000 square feet planned for use by the incoming retail store, which has not yet been identified.

The last Navarre location: New Navarre Publix opened Wednesday in Wynnehaven Plaza

Site plans also show two outparcels on the property, one that's 0.86 acres and another that's 0.73 acres, that can be used for further development.

The project was filed by NAV Partners LLC, a locally based group. There is currently no estimated completion date or address available.

Publix is rapidly growing its presence in Navarre and Northwest Florida

There are already two Publix locations in the Navarre area: one at the Shoppes of Navarre at 8244 Navarre Parkway and another at Wynnehaven Plaza at 10040 Navarre Parkway.

The Wynnehaven store is a recent addition to the community, having just opened in March.

Publix has been rapidly expanding across Santa Rosa and Escambia counties, with Milton getting its first store in November 2022 and a seventh Pensacola area store under construction at the intersection of U.S. Highway 98 and South Blue Angel Parkway.
