Pueblo police investigate Tuesday morning homicide
A man was killed in a shooting Tuesday morning, the Pueblo Police Department announced.
Officers were initially called to the 0-100 block of Bonnymede Road in northeastern Pueblo about 3:50 a.m. on a report of a disturbance, but while they were en route to the scene, police say they received several additional calls from community members reporting gunshots.
When officers arrived, they found a man who'd been shot. The man — who has not yet been identified by the Pueblo County Coroner's office — was transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The shooting death marks Pueblo's 17th homicide of 2022.
Detectives with Pueblo PD's Crimes Against Persons unit are investigating.
