A Pueblo woman was killed Friday morning while crossing U.S. Highway 50 in a wheelchair, according to the county coroner.

At around 9:20 a.m., Kimberly Gabaldon, 55, was crossing the highway near Club Manor Drive when she was struck by a truck in the eastbound lanes, according to Pueblo Police Department spokesperson Sgt. Frank Ortega.

Gabaldon was transported to a local hospital where she died of her injuries, according to the coroner.
