Sheepdog Pup Displays 'Natural Instinct' for Herding at South Australia Farm

A 12-week-old kelpie pup proved to be a natural-born herder at a South Australia farm recently, as he chased sheep around during one of his first encounters.

Footage posted to TikTok by Kimmi Pratt on June 20 shows the adorable pup, called Tex, unable to contain his excitement as he gets acquainted with the sheep at his home near Mount Gambier.

“The puppy is showing natural instinct and working the sheep correctly at only 12 weeks,” Pratt told Storyful. Credit: Kim Pratt via Storyful
