Puppy with ‘so much love to give’ needs a new home, NC shelter says. Meet Theo

A playful puppy with “so much love to give” needs a new home, a North Carolina animal shelter said.

Theo the 8-month-old dog is ready for his next chapter after his owner had an “unforeseen medical diagnosis.” The situation means the owner won’t be able to care for the pup on a long-term basis, according to Foothills Humane Society.

“We want him to find an incredible home with people that will love him well and give him all the snuggles and kisses,” the Polk County shelter wrote Dec. 2 in a Facebook post.

Theo is about 25 pounds and is expected to be a medium-sized, collie mix dog. He’s described as a loving puppy who can’t get enough of squeaky toys and treats.

“He is very energetic and playful but also very smart and a fast learner,” the shelter wrote. “With continued proper training he is going to be an incredible best friend for someone. His sweet face and floofy ears keep a smile on our faces.”

Theo was in need of a home as of Dec. 2. Anyone interested in adopting the pup is asked to email emily.parker.cross@gmail.com.

Theo wasn’t at living at the shelter but instead was in the Campobello area, across the South Carolina border. Foothills Humane Society is in nearby Columbus, North Carolina, roughly 40 miles southeast of the popular mountain town of Asheville.
