Who is purchasing and developing Houma Town Hall?

A New York investor is purchasing the Houma Town Hall building.

R.H. Barrow LLC is purchasing the Houma Town Hall, 805 Barrow Street, from the Uptown Enterprises LLC for a currently undisclosed amount, December 28. The first tenant has already been confirmed as South Central Louisiana Human Services Authority who will take up 23,500 square feet, leaving over 50,000 square feet still available for more tenants.

"We are waiting for the ink to dry," said International Liaison and Associate Broker Betty Pei Ching Sun.

Sun is representing both the buyers and sellers, and said the New York investor behind Uptown Enterprises is dedicated to Downtown Houma Revitalization movement, and intends to use its reach to attract other companies.

"The New York investor that has done their homework and research and believes in the revitalization of Houma," she said. "In this case more particularly Downtown. We have the reach regionally and nationally to attract larger big box tenants which we are in the process of working on."

Part of the Louisiana Department of Public Health, the South Central Louisiana Human Services Authority provides behavioral health and development disability services to Assumption, Lafourche, St. Charles, St. James, St. John the Baptist, St. Mary and Terrebonne parishes.
