The No. 7 Purdue Boilermakers open their 2021-22 men's basketball season against Bellarmine.

Coach Matt Painter enters his 17th season at Purdue, and the Boilers return the bulk of a team that earned a No. 4 seed in the 2021 NCAA tournament. Jaden Ivey and Trevion Williams have garnered a lot of preseason accolades. Purdue finished 18-10 last season.

Bellarmine is in its second season as a Division I program. The Knights were 14-8 last season.
