First-team All-Big Ten honors on Wednesday.

That's a solid 24 hours for receiver Charlie Jones, who was the lone Purdue representative on the league's all-conference first team announced Wednesday. Jones was a first-team selection by the coaches and the media.

Jones, who transferred to the Boilermakers from Iowa in the offseason, led the Big Ten in receptions (97), and yards (1,199) and tied Ohio State's Marvin Harrison, Jr., for the most touchdowns (12). Harrison was named the league's receiver of the year.

Jones can add to his impressive numbers Saturday when Purdue plays Michigan in the Big Ten championship game at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Jones was the only Purdue player who received an invitation to the prestigious Senior Bowl, which will be held on Feb. 4 in Mobile, Ala., and televised by the NFL Network.

Two other Boilermakers earned second-team honors - quarterback Aidan O'Connell and tight end Payne Durham. O'Connell led the league in passing yards (2,489) during conference games and Durham paced all Big Ten tight ends with receptions (54) and touchdowns (8). O'Connell was named to the third team by the media.

Running back Devin Mockobee and offensive linemen Gus Hartwig, Spencer Holstege and Marcus Mbow were named to the honorable mention team.
