Purdue student found dead inside his dorm room

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — A 20-year-old Purdue student from Carmel didn't wake up Friday morning inside his dorm room in the 1100 block of Third Street, prompting a death investigation, Tippecanoe County Coroner Carrie Costello said.

Costello said an autopsy will be scheduled, but initial indications are that the student's death is not suspicious.

The death is being investigated by Purdue police and the coroner's office, Costello said.
