SHIPSHEWANA — Pure Prairie League performs with Orleans and Firefall at 8 p.m. April 1 at Blue Gate Music Hall, 760 S. Van Buren St.

Formed in 1969 in Ohio and known for its melodic country-rock, Pure Prairie League had radio hits with such songs as “Amie,” “Two Lane Highway,” “Let Me Love You Tonight,” “I’m Almost Ready” and “Still Right Here in My Heart.”

The band’s most successful albums include “Bustin’ Out” (originally released in 1972 but a commercial hit in 1975), 1975’s “Two Lane Highway,” 1976’s “If the Shoe Fits” and 1980’s “Firin’ Up.”

The current lineup features founding member and pedal-steel guitarist John David Call, drummer Scott Thompson, keyboardist Randy Harper, bassist Jared Camic and lead guitarist Jeff Zona.
