Qatar October trade surplus halves from year ago

Dec 1 (Reuters) - Qatar's foreign trade surplus halved from a year earlier to 12.24 billion riyals ($3.36 billion) in October because of low oil and natural gas prices, preliminary data from the Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics showed on Tuesday. Exports of petroleum gases and other gaseous hydrocarbons dropped 37.5 percent to 13.83 billion riyals.
