Greenville QB Bryson Drummond is The Greenville News Week 3 Athlete of the Week

The voters have spoken.

The Week 3 Greenville News high school football Athlete of the Week is Greenville High quarterback Bryson Drummond. The Red Raider's pummeled Mauldin 70-7 last week and the sophomore Drummond, in his first start of the season, threw for 233 yards and five touchdowns on 12-of-17 passing in the win.

Drummond received 31.76% of the votes in this week's poll. He had 1,550 of the total 4,880 votes in the poll overall. In second place was Eastside defensive back Tre Brown, who had two interceptions, a forced fumble and seven total tackles in the Eagles' win over Blue Ridge. Brown received 24.24% of the votes in the poll and nearly 1,200 total.

In third place was St. Joe quarterback Walker Wood, who led the Knights to a road win over Seneca and in fourth was Christ Church running back Dashun Reeder. Rounding out the voting was Jaylen Neal and Logan Coldren of Hillcrest, Kalvin Banks of Eastside and Nigel Bruster from Wade Hampton.

Banks rushed for over 300 yards and scored five touchdowns. Neal had a big game for the Rams and Coldren broke 100 rushing yards for the first time this season while scoring twice on the ground.

The nominees from this past week are below.

Dashun Reeder, Christ Church: Reeder rushed for 205 yards with four touchdowns in a win over Riverside.

Kalvin Banks, Eastside: The junior running back continued his big season with 42 carries for 322 yards with five touchdowns as the Eagles beat Blue Ridge.

Tre Brown, Eastside: Brown, a defensive back, had seven total tackles, two interceptions, a pass breakup and a fumble recovery.

Bryson Drummond, Greenville: Drummond, a sophomore, was 12-of-17 passing for 233 yards and five touchdown passes.

Logan Coldren, Hillcrest: Coldren rushed 21 times for 153 rushing yards with two touchdowns in an easy win against Boiling Springs.

Jaylen Neal, Hillcrest: Neal had seven receptions for 135 yards with two touchdowns.

Walker Wood, St. Joseph's Catholic: Wood had 174 passing yards with two touchdowns on 7-of-11 passing. He also had 141 rushing yards with two more touchdowns.

Nigel Bruster, Wade Hampton: Bruster had 25 carries for 291 rushing yards with two touchdowns in the Generals' second win this season.
