QOVF to host celebration and prize giveaway for National Sew Day on Feb. 3

VALLEY, Ala. (WRBL) – The QOVF (Quilts of Valor Foundation) is set to host a celebration and prize giveaway in light of National Sew Day.

QOVF says on Feb. 3, locals are invited to participate in making “Quilts of Valor” as part of the organization’s “SEW Day.” The event is scheduled to be held at Shawmut Methodist in Valley, Alabama.

This year’s celebration will feature a special video: The Retrospective from our 20th Anniversary Conference.

The video, according to QOVF will feature 20 years of QOVF history including presenters such as Chaplain Kallerson, who awarded the first Quilts of Valor at Walter Reed Hospital, along with Catherine Roberts, Marianne Fons, and past executive directors Susan Gordon, Ann Rehbein and Lori Thompson, who all share their experience with QOVF.

Besides viewing QOVF history, the foundation will provide participants with kits, ironing stations and refreshments.
