Quack-tastic rescue! Greece police officer climbs down storm drain to save trapped ducklings
A Greece police officer on Monday night rescued several ducklings that fell into a sewer drain.
Officers on Monday were called to Maiden Lane and Dewey Avenue, where a mother duck was standing in the road, blocking traffic, according to Greece Police.
Several ducklings had fallen into a sewer drain by where the mother duck was standing, waiting.
When he arrived on scene, Officer Anthony Borrelli climbed into the storm drain and quickly retrieved the ducklings, which were reunited with their mother above ground.
Last night, @GreecePoliceNY responded to Maiden Ln & Dewey Ave for the ducklings that fell into a sewer drain. The mother was standing in the roadway blocking traffic when officers arrived.
