Quake of magnitude 6.4 strikes off Kermadec islands in Pacific: USGS

(Reuters) - A 6.4 magnitude quake struck off the Kermadec islands in the Pacific on Thursday, the U.S. Geological Survey said. There were no immediate reports of damage in area frequently hit by quakes.

The tremor, first measured at 6.6, hit 159 km (90 miles) southwest of Raoul island, it said.
