Queen Elizabeth rewards sex toy company for ‘outstanding’ growth

British sex toy company Lovehoney is celebrating a royal recognition.

“The Queen has honoured the UK’s biggest sexual wellness brand with a top award,” the company boasted in a press release. “Lovehoney has received The Queen’s Award for Enterprise for outstanding continuous growth in overseas sales over the last six years.”

The company boasted that overseas sales have grown from £12 million to £56 million over the past six years. In U.S. dollars, that’s a leap from $16.5 million to $77 million.

The Queens Award for Enterprise is described by the crown as “the highest accolade for business success.”

That recognitions allows Lovehoney to use the Queen’s Award emblem in all of its marketing endeavors. The company said the top royal also bestowed that recognition upon it in 2016.

Among the items available on the company’s website are masks, gags, feather ticklers, chastity devices and corsets.

Lovehoney’s chief commercial officer Debbie Bond said in a statement that “Her Majesty has been a wonderful supporter of Lovehoney” as the company has grown to become sex-industry royalty.

Queen Elizabeth II turned 95 last week. She was widowed on April 9 when her husband Prince Philip died on April 9 at the age of 99. They married in 1947.
