The Queen is hiring a personal assistant to help her with a number of royal duties.

An advert posted on social network LinkedIn by the Royal Household revealed the Queen is looking for someone to “provide daily administrative support”.

According to the listing: “This will include diary and correspondence management, responding to varied queries and event support, as well as travel and logistics plans for the non-official programme.”

The successful applicant will live in Thatched House Lodge in Richmond.

To be considered for the role, anyone looking to apply will need administration or secretarial experience.

They will also need to be able to demonstrate experience of supporting “individuals with a range of office and domestic requirements”.

The advert also suggests the person will need to be “discreet” and have “outstanding interpersonal and communication skills”.

Whoever is selected for the job will have to work 37.5 hours per week and can expect to earn between £30,000 and £33,000 per year.

“With excellent IT and written skills and an eye for detail, you will be confident drafting varied correspondence,” the advert continues.

“Efficient, well organised and able to work under pressure, you can manage a busy workload and prioritise multiple tasks and projects effectively.

“Finally, you will have a flexible and pro-active approach, will enjoy using your initiative, and will be keen to take on the range of opportunities this role presents.”

Another advert posted on Linkedin showed the Queen is also hiring a 'planner' to oversee the refurbishment of Buckingham Palace (AP)

According to other adverts posted on Linkedin in recent days the Queen is also recruiting an expert to help oversee a 10-year refurbishment plan for Buckingham Palace.

The Royal Household is advertising for the position, listed as “planner” which will involved modernising the building’s electrical cabling, plumbing and heating for the first time since the 1950s.

The salary for that position is about £38,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
