Queen's driver admitted sexually abusing boy, 10, at Buckingham Palace quarters
One of the Queen’s drivers sexually abused a boy at his Buckingham Palace quarters, it has been reported.
Alwyn Stockdale is also suspected of sexually assaulting a second youth at a relative’s home.
It’s believed that one victim was aged just 10, and the other was under 14.
Stockdale, 81, did admit the vile attacks, which occurred in the 1970s.
However, Stockdale never faced justice, as he died in hospital last week after prosecutors instructed officers to charge him with historic sex offences.
Met Police worked for 19 months to trace the retied royal chauffeur after a victim, now in his 50s, bravely came forward to report his ordeal.
At the time of the sex crimes, Stockdale resided in quarters in the Royal Household, at Buckingham Palace Mews.
According to The Sun, when interviewed by police Stockdale reportedly confessed to abusing two boys.
Stockdale was set to be charged with indecently assaulting one boy and three offences of gross indecency in relation to the second victim.
But, before he could be brought to justice, Stockdale died of natural causes.
A source told The Sun: “The victims are understandably upset that Stockdale will not face justice. They’ve lived with what he did all their adult lives.”
