Anybody else eternally nosey when it comes to the Royal Family's eating habits and food preferences? Whilst Prince George's favourite dish is surprisingly normal and we all know Prince William loves a cheeky Nando's, we were recently chuffed to learn that The Queen's chocolates of choice are every bit as fancy as you might expect.

In ITV documentary Billion Pound Bond Street, which is all about the shops on one of London's poshest streets, Adam Lee, chief chocolatier at Charbonnel et Walker revels that Her Majesty is a very big fan of the brand's floral creams.

"The Queen does have a list of favourite chocolates with us... but I'm not allowed to divulge that directly to you," Lee says. "However, I can just say that she has very floral tastes, which may become evident if we look at the chocolates a little bit later, but maybe we should start with our two most popular chocolates which are rose and violet creams."

He then jokingly adds, "I never said a word, never said a word!"

Described on the website as "quintessentially English Rose and Violet Creams", a box of Her Majesty's favourites will set you back £15 for 185g, or £70 for 500g. The chocolates are said to be made from a "unique fondant recipe infused with the attar of Roses and Violets" and as being "exquisitely enrobed in a beautiful Fine Dark Chocolate". Yum!

Lee also chats about Charbonnel et Walker's other big hitters, including a £280 box of chocolates, and reveals the brand has a long-standing connection to royalty.

"King Edward VII, who is our current Queen's great-grandfather... His favourite chocolate was made by Madam Charbonnel in Paris and he persuaded her to come over here," Lee notes. "He was rather well known for having beautiful mistresses and we like to think that maybe that was another side of the story of why she came over here to see him."

He also added, "We are so lucky to have Her Majesty's Royal Warrant. We have lots of pictures of The Queen and The Royal Family around the shop, they were given to us by the palace."
