'Quick Burst' of Snow Comes to Reno

A “quick burst” of snow passed through Reno, Nevada, early on December 31, leaving some slick spots on the roads for the morning commute, the National Weather Service (NWS) said.

Video posted by the NWS Reno showed snow falling at 2.15 am local time outside their office.

In a later tweet, the NWS said 0.8 inches fell at their office, “with the Reno airport, 500 feet lower in elevation, reporting a trace of snow.” Credit: NWS Reno via Storyful
