Nov. 3—BLUEFIELD — The Bluefield Economic Development Authority (BEDA) is offering two classes next week to assist business owners and those who may be interested in applying for a job with Intuit/Alorica in Bluefield.

The first class is about QuickBooks, and is designed to assist local business owners, according to BEDA Executive Director Jim Spencer.

The "Intro to Financial Fundamentals for Small Business Owners" class will teach the basics of Quickbooks software, including terminology, verbiage and an overview of how the program works.

It will be held Tuesday, Nov. 7, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. inside the Bluefield Arts Center Downtown, which is located at 500 Bland Street.

The class is open to the public, and can be completed in person or virtually on zoom.

Space is limited to 25 individuals in person.

Spencer said the second class is on November 9 and is called "Going Into Business: First Steps."

Both classes are free and anyone can register for either class at https://www.mybluefield.org/workshops.
