Nov. 13—CLOQUET — The Humble Quilters Guild made four scrappy rainbow quilts using fabric donated by the family of Barb Little.

"Barb was a charter member of the guild and was well-known for her quilt-making," guild member Marilyn Nelson said. Barb and her husband, Fred, were very active in Cloquet. Barb died in 2020 and Fred in 2022.

"Barb created many quilts for local charities," Nelson said. Some of her quilts were used for fundraising projects, including for the Cloquet Community Memorial Hospital Foundation.

The four quilts were donated to the Steve O'Neil Apartments in Duluth. The apartments provide housing and services for families with children experiencing long-term homelessness. The facility is run by the nonprofit Chum, which operates an emergency shelter and other services for people experiencing poverty, homelessness and food insecurity.
