New Quincy apartments, wine bar opens and 6 touchdowns for one South Shore star

Good morning. This is Jen Wagner, an editor at The Patriot Ledger. Welcome to this week's edition of Your Week on the South Shore. Only for subscribers. Thanks for subscribing. And thanks for reading.

It's the last weekend of summer. I'm headed to an annual gathering with friends with a peach-rhubarb crisp, grilled shrimp and tropical rum drink fixings in tow. The nights are cooler. So are the days - but that sunshine has still been lovely. I hope you're getting out to enjoy them. If you're a planner, perhaps you'd like to mark your calendar for Oct. 1 for The Quincy Food Truck & Music Festival. If something indoors is more your style - how about checking out the new wine bar in Scituate. The French Onion Grilled Cheese is listed under "shareables" on the menu - I'm not sure I'd want to share, though. If you were getting excited about the new high-end movie theater coming to the Hanover Crossing development, you'll have to wait a bit longer. Supply-chain issues have pushed back the Hanover Showcase Cinema opening.
