Quincy: Interfaith Social Services honors 17 South Shore residents

Local residents inducted into Interfaith Social Services’ Matti Lang Hall of Fame includ: Gene Lee, Debbie Stadnicki and Jan Whalen, all of Quincy; Jill Rupple, of Pembroke; Interfaith’s director of development, Paula Daniels, of Norton; Ann O’Brien, of Weymouth; and Bernadette Connolly, Helen Irvin, Heather Nolasco and Alan Howarth, all of of Quincy.

QUINCY – Seventeen South Shore residents were inducted into Interfaith Social Services’ Matti Lang Hall of Fame.

This year’s honorees are  Hingham resident Mary Kerrigan; Milton residents Connie Corcoran and Liz Tangusso; Pembroke resident Jill Rupple; Quincy residents Tricia Bertucci, Susan Bill, Bernadette Connolly, Therese Dolbec, Alan Howarth, Helen Irvin, Cathy Kennedy, Gene Lee, Heather Nolasco, Debbie Stadnicki and Jan Whalen; and Weymouth residents William Blackmer and Ann O’Brien.

The volunteers were honored at a Volunteer Appreciation Night at the Quincy Masonic Building on Aug. 2.

The Hall of Fame is named after Matti Lang, one of Interfaith’s most dedicated volunteers.

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts was also honored for its volunteerism and was named Interfaith’s Community Partner of the Year.
