Quincy police: Man barricaded inside storage facility on Washington Street

QUINCY - Police officers have surrounded a rental storage facility on Washington Street after they say a man has barricaded himself inside.

The Quincy Police Department posted to Facebook at around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday that the department's SWAT and crisis negotiation teams are assisting State Police.

"Suspect is in an interior room and there is no threat to the public," the department posted.

People are asked to avoid the area.
