Raccoon Spotted Trying to Claw Through Ceiling in Brooklyn Apartment
A Brooklyn resident captured the terrifying moment when a raccoon attempted to claw its way through her kitchen ceiling via a light fixture, as seen in a viral video recently posted on Instagram.
This video, taken by Yesenia Irizarry in November and posted March 3, shows the raccoon’s paws reach out of the ceiling above the light before the animal gives up and scurries around above her ceiling.
Irizarry said that she always knew there was a raccoon problem in her neighborhood, but never would’ve imagined that one would get inside her house.
“At one point we could see what looked like its ear and it started to push its head through the hole for a mere second,” she told Storyful, adding that she moved out of the apartment three months later. Credit: Yesenia Irizarry via Storyful
