Race Car Driver Lewis Hamilton Lists $52 Million Tribeca Penthouse

Even though he’s never actually lived there, Formula One race car driver Lewis Hamilton is hoping to offload his stunning Tribeca penthouse. The six-time world champion previously listed it for $57 million back in March 2019, but didn’t manage to find a buyer. Now, the three-floor apartment is back on the market for $52 million.

The expansive home is located in a star-studded Tribeca building that celebs like Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, Harry Styles, and Bella Hadid and The Weeknd all call home. According to the listing, the unit is the largest penthouse loft in the building, measuring in at 8,908 square feet, with an additional 3,426 square feet of outdoor space courtesy of a huge private rooftop terrace with a plunge pool and outdoor kitchen. The impressive great room has 20-foot ceilings, and the chef’s kitchen was custom-designed by Christopher Peacock.

Up a floating wooden staircase is the second floor, where the home’s five en suite bedrooms are located, including the master, which boasts its own gas fireplace and exquisite windowed dressing room. The master bathroom is spa-style, with a large deep-soaking tub set against a large patterned marble wall, separate glass-enclosed steam shower, and what looks to be a steam sauna. Up one more floor is the terrace, where there is an entertaining room completely enclosed in glass, a wet bar, and a powder room. An internal private elevator connects all three floors.

Building amenities include everything from a 24-hour doorman and concierge to a Turkish steam bath to a children’s playroom. The penthouse unit also comes with two private parking spaces in the building’s valet garage. Hamilton is also the owner of another penthouse in the neighborhood, which he bought last year for $40.7 million.
