Races fill out on second day of qualifying for Cobb County candidates

Mar. 9—More candidates filed their paperwork to seek office Tuesday during the second day of qualifying week.

Democrat Stacey Abrams qualified to seek the governor's office, while Republican Latham Saddler joined the race against U.S. Sen. Raphael Warnock, D-Georgia.

State Sen. Jen Jordan, D-Atlanta, who represents part of Cobb County, filed for the attorney general's race against Republican incumbent Chris Carr.

Democrats Jason Esteves and Luisa Wakeman, meanwhile, joined Republicans Angelic Moore and Fred Glass in the election to replace Jordan in Senate District 6. And several candidates threw in their hats for local school board and county commission offices.

Qualifying runs all week, through Friday afternoon. Here's a look at the full slate of candidates who have filed so far:
