Lasheky Hill has been missing for over 50 days and the Racine Police Department is pleading with the public to come forward if anyone knows her whereabouts.

Hill, 46, went missing on the evening of March 26 after being seen leaving her residence in the 1000 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Drive in Racine.

At a Tuesday news conference, Lasheky Hill's mother, Georgia Hill, asked the public to help police find her daughter. "She's somebody momma, she's a grandmama, she got grandkids," Georgia said.

"Lasheky left my house and I ain't seen my child and I want her. And I'm not giving up, I want my child. ... I just want closure for my family. Please give us some closure."

Deputy Chief Jessie Metoyer said the department has spent the last seven weeks following up on every tip received and conducted dozens of searches. "To date, our efforts have not resulted in locating Lasheky, Metoyer said. "Our investigation is not over and it will not end until we bring her home."

Racine police were not able to indicate whether Lasheky was still in the area. "We don't even know what we don't know. So to answer one way or the other, we simply don't know," Racine Police Chief Maurice Robinson said.

Lasheky was also placed into the FBI National Crime Information Center's missing person database, as well as reported to the Black and Missing Foundation, a nonprofit focused on bringing awareness to missing people of color, who are disproportionately reported missing every year.

Police are requesting more tips from the public, which can be submitted to detective Andrew Simon at 262-635-7770 or the Racine County non-emergency line at 262-886-2300. If you'd like to remain anonymous, contact Racine County Crime Stoppers by calling 888-636-9330 or visiting www.racine.crimestoppersweb.com.

The public can also donate to a fund that would increase the reward for providing information that leads to Hill's whereabouts. The fund was set up by the Fight to End Exploitation, a Racine nonprofit.

To donate, visit an Educators Credit Union and mention the Lasheky Hill Reward Fund and make it payable to Fight to End Exploitation. You can also mail a check to Fight to End Exploitation, P.O. Box 85687, Racine, WI 53408, noting Lasheky Hill in the memo.
