Racing Recap: Blonde, Bevard, Means and Crocker takes wins at Butler Motor Speedway

QUINCY — The summer racing series continued at Butler Motor Speedway on Saturday with four exciting classes of action on everyone’s favorite dirt track.

Earning wins on the day were Jason Blonde with a win in the Pell’s Tire Service Sprint division; Corey Bevard with a victory in the MAGA Lift Modified division; Bronson Means with a win in the Elite General Contracting Street Stock division; and Ryan Crocker with a victory in the RPM Trucking FWD division.

A long dry spell was broken in the Pell’s Tire Service Sprint Division where Jason Blonde secured his first A-Main win at Butler Motor Speedway since the 1999 season.

Zac Broughman finished in second place on the evening, followed by Boston Mead in third place, Logan Easterday in fourth place and Josh Turner in fifth place. Heat race wins went to Blonde and Trey McGranahan.

In the MAGA Lift UMP Modified Division it was Corey Bevard taking home the victory, with Steven Shellenberger finishing in the runner-up spot. Robby Henderson took third place, followed by David VanGuilder in fourth place and Richard Swan in fifth place. Heat race wins went to Deuane Morley, Corey Bevard and Rick Swartout.

Bronson Means took home the victory in the Elite General Contracting Street Stock Division, out distancing Keith Hiller who finished with runner-up honors. Jake Wilber finished in third place, followed by Trent Howland in fourth place and Kaleb Wilber in fifth place. Heat race wins went to Kaleb Wilber and Bronson Means.

Ryan Crocker took centerstage in victory lane after winning the RPM Trucking FWD Division. Cody Kipp finished in second place, followed by Dominic Morehouse in third place, Jeremy Wilber in fourth place and Cloie Dryer in fifth place. Ryan Crock, Cody Kipp and Mike Booher took heat race wins.

Dirt track racing will return to Butler Motor Speedway on July 2 with a double dose of sprint car action as the Great Lakes Super Sprints will be in action alongside the track’s weekly 410 sprint car division. The street stock and front-wheel drive division will also be in action. Gates open at 4 p.m. with racing at 7:30 p.m.
