Racing Recap: Nusbaum, Swan and Kipp take weekend wins at Butler Motor Speedway

QUINCY — It was a big weekend of racing at everyones favorite dirt track as the summer racing series continued at Butler Motor Speedway. Before ending the night with what was described as a spectacular fireworks show, intense racing action was held in three different divisions on the 3/8th of a mile hi-banked dirt track.

In the marquee race of the evening it was the number 17N car of Dillon Nusbaum bringing home the win in the feature MAGA Lift Topless UMP Modified race, bringing home $1500 in prize money.

Nusbaum secured win number three on the season as he out distanced Steve Shellenberger who finished in second place, followed by Logan Beckwith IV in third place, Robby Henderson in fourth place, and Rick Swartout in fifth place. Heat race wins went to Henderson, Shellenberger and Nusbaum.

The number 0 car of Eric Swan took home victory for the fifth time this season in the Elite General Contracting Street Stock Division, just out distancing Bronson Means who finished in second place. Jake Wilber finished in third place, followed by Kaleb Wilber in fourth place and Jeremy Kulikowski in fifth place. Heat race wins went to Swan and Kaleb Wilber.

The checkered flag in the RMP Trucking Front Wheel Drive Division went to the 7K car of Cody Kipp who secured his third win of the 2022 season on Saturday. Dominic Morehouse finished in second place, followed by Greg Saterlee in third place, Cloie Dryer in fourth place and Brandon Kipp in fifth place. Brandon Kipp was the winner of the B-Main while Cody Kipp, Morehouse and Jerry Manns brought home heat race wins.

Racing will return on Saturday, July 16 for the 2022 Mid-Season Championship. At the half way point of the season drivers are still battling for a feature wins in each division. Trophies will be presented to the winner of each feature on Saturday as the track’s four weekly racing divisions will be in action.
