HENDERSON, Nev. (AP) — The Las Vegas Raiders have scheduled an interview with former Buffalo Bills defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier, the first outside candidate for its coaching job.

Frazier chose not to coach this season.

“We’ll miss him,” Bills coach Sean McDermott said last February. “I thought he did a really good job with our defense.”

Interim coach Antonio Pierce is believed to be a strong candidate to get the job, and some Raiders players took to social media in recent days to continue to voice their support for him. “#HireAP,” star defensive end Maxx Crosby posted.

The Raiders could have competition to keep Pierce. He has completed an interview with the Tennessee Titans and the Atlanta Falcons have requested to speak with Pierce.
