Railroad track work in Milford will lead to detours throughout the weekend

A recount in the race for Milford School Committee will take place at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Town Hall.

MILFORD — Work being done on train tracks crossing Cape Road (Route 140) this weekend will result in daylong detours, police said.

The work is being done on the railroad tracks over Cape Road, just south of Greene Street, Deputy Police Chief John Sanchioni said.

Work is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. Saturday and continue for 24 to 36 hours.

Sanchioni said detours will be set up, but that motorists should expect delays.
