CHRISTCHURCH, New Zealand (AP) — Overnight rain has delayed the start of the second test between New Zealand and India at Hagley Oval.
While the rain stopped and the covers were lifted by the scheduled toss at 11 a.m. local time, the toss was likely to be delayed for 30 minutes and the start of play by an hour.
The pitch looks extremely green and both sides are likely to go into the match with strong pace attacks.
New Zealand is expected to recall seamer Neil Wagner, who missed the first test, and drop spinner Ajaz Patel.
India may be without Ishant Sharma who has an ankle injury.
